Cookies Notice
This notice explains how and why Didit, Inc. (“Didit,” “we,” “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies whenever you visit didit.co or open our desktop and mobile apps (together, the “Service”). It also describes the options available to you for managing these technologies.
1 What are cookies and similar tools?
A cookie is a small data file or record that a website saves to your browser or mobile device when you load a page. The file lets the site recognize your device later, remember settings, keep you signed-in, measure traffic, or tailor content. Technologies that serve the same purposes—such as local storage, software development kits (SDKs), and tiny graphics called pixels or beacons—work alongside cookies, so for simplicity we refer to them all as “cookies.”
2 How we use cookies
Cookies help Didit operate smoothly and improve over time. Typical uses include:
- maintaining your secure login session and routing you to the correct workspace;
- remembering interface preferences (for example, language or last-used view) so you don’t have to reset them on each visit;
- measuring how many people visit a page or click a feature so we know what to fix or enhance;
- detecting unusual sign-in patterns that could indicate abuse or fraud.
Didit does not use cookies to sell your data to third-party marketers, nor do we allow ad networks to set their own targeting cookies through the Service.
3 Categories of cookies we rely on
- Essential cookies. These are required for core functionality, such as authenticating you and enforcing security. Because the Service cannot function without them, you cannot turn them off.
- Performance / analytics cookies. These collect aggregate statistics about visits and feature use. We use the insights to diagnose problems and to guide product decisions.
- Functional cookies. These remember choices you make—like display density or whether you dismissed a pop-up—so your experience feels consistent.
- Optional third-party cookies. From time to time we may embed content or integrations (for example, a support chat widget) that set their own cookies. We require such providers to respect your privacy choices. If you disable them, some embedded features may not load.
At the time this notice takes effect Didit does not serve advertising or social-media cookies.
4 Lifespan of cookies
Some cookies exist only while your browser is open (“session” cookies) and disappear when you close it. Others remain for a longer, fixed period (“persistent” cookies) so the site can recognize you on a return visit; their duration ranges from a few hours to a couple of years depending on the purpose. We set persistent cookies only where the function truly needs it, and never indefinitely.
5 Your choices
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies altogether, or alert you before a site places one. Because the method varies, check your browser’s help menu for instructions. Keep in mind that blocking Essential cookies will prevent you from signing in, and disabling Functional cookies may require you to re-enter preferences each visit.
6 Updates to this notice
We may revise this notice to reflect new cookies, new laws, or new business practices. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, highlighted in the Service. The “Effective” date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Continued use after an update signals your agreement to the revised notice.
